
Samsung-made Google Nexus S will be available in the US starting December 16 (this Thursday) as the world’s first Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone. Best Buy retailer that will offer the new Nexus has provided more details on the handset’s launch, Online sales will start at 8AM Eastern Time, while all Best Buy retail stores will sell the Nexus S starting 8AM local time on a first-come, first-served basis. Sales will be limited to 2 handsets per customer.
Nexus S be able to get with a T-Mobile contract agreement (for $199), or sans contract (for $529). In both cases, the device will be unlocked.
Google Nexus S will also be launched in the UK on December 20. Starting early next year, the smartphone should be available in other markets, too – like Russia
