iPhone Spotify music app coming soon there is one rather large hurdle – Apple has to give iTunes App Store approval for that launch.
Will Apple clear Spotify mobile? After all, the service has been touted as an iTunes killer, so it might be a bit like turkeys voting for Christmas. But on the plus side, having all that music freely available on the iPhone is certain to shift an awful lot of Apple stock in the run-up to Christmas.
iPhone Spotify music application is designed to search for new music, stream music and let iPhone users download music to their phones, not unlike the Android app that was shown off a couple of months back in fact – and that’s something we were very excited about. On a (very small) downside, the app obviously isn’t free, with a rumoured £9.99 charge and only available to premium subscribers, who have to pay an additional £9.99 each month for the service. Worth it? If you use your iPhone as part of a home audio set-up as well as a smartphone, very much so. We’ll keep you posted on the offical announcement.
