Featuring a sliding QWERTY keyboard, the Pantech Renue has introduced by AT&T, a new messaging phone in the US. Renue uses Qualcomm’s Brew Mobile Platform, and doesn’t require a smartphone plan (like most Android handsets do).
Pantech Renue is rugged, meeting military standard 810G – hence being protected against damage from sand, dust, temperature, humidity, vibration, and radiation. Renue also features 3.2 inch QVGA touchscreen display, HSDPA, full Web browser, and a 3MP rear camera.
Pantech Renue costs $69.99 on contract (after a $50 mail-in rebate), and can be bought as of today both online, and at authorized AT&T retailers nationwide.
