Nokia N97 Mini released onto the market. There was a fair bit of to-ing and fro-ing on the Vodafone forums about whether it really did exist or not, and then, everything went quiet.
Which shouldn’t really be a surprise, given its name, should it? Although, to be honest, it’s not that much more mini than the original N97, and I reckon it’ll be about the same size as the 5800.
Of course, pictures tell us nothing about what the specs will be like, but I reckon I can make some educated guesses, there. The OS will, beyond any reasonable doubt, be Symbian. Nokia love Symbian. Nokia own Symbian. Ergo, Nokia will use Symbian. Obviously the front end might look a bit different to the original Nokia N97 (with different widgets and whatnot), but it’ll still be Symbian under the hood.
As for the camera; yes, it’s got one, thank you. I tried zooming in, but couldn’t read what the megapixel count is, so we’ll just have to guess. My bet? Five megapixel, like its older brother. Or, possibly, three. Internal memory? Not a clue.
Same kick-out keyboard and unusual opening mechanism as its older brother? Check. Remarkably similar design? Check.
