Samsung has confirmed that Galaxy S II smartphone has surpassed and crossed a sales of 5 million units. Samsung says Galaxy S II managed to achieve this feat in less than 3 months, 85 days to be precise and is on its way to hit the 10 million mark pretty soon.

Samsung hasn’t shared individual region numbers but said that it managed to garner 56% market share in South Korea last month and has been on the top spot in more than 10 European countries.
