Sharp new IS03 Android mobile phone just dropped some detail and the specs are impressive but will be available only in Japan and the a chance this device might be find its way across the Pacific.
Sharp IS03 Android with CDMA-based device will features a 3.5-inch 960×640 resolution capacitive touchscreen. This is a big step up from the 800×480 screens found on most Android devices. It’s also the same resolution as the retina display found on the Apple iPhone 4.
IS03 also beats the Incredible in the camera game though with a 9.6-megapixel camera much matter since the Incredible already shoots at eight megapixels.
IS03 will running Android 2.1, but the device’s unique feature set indicates that it’s been in development for some time. IS03 will make it to the U.S., but it’s hard to imagine Sharp not using such a slick piece of hardware to tap the lucrative U.S. mobile market.
